Just keeping residents and interested parties informed.
The Commissioners have had confirmation that the DOI will hopefully have a display of the final plans for the new road design, before the end of the month. These will be available to be viewed in the Commissioners hall during opening hours and when the Clerk is in the Office. The DOI have confirmed that this should have gone ahead after the last public meeting, but due to issues beyond their control and then the Pandemic this did not happen. As soon as the plans are received we will post on this site and our website. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
The three new pieces of playground equipment are now installed and have partially been funded by a kind donation made by Lt Col Patrick Glynn Riley. The Commissioners would like to thank Lt Col Patrick Glynn Riley and his family for their kind doation. A plaque will be installed on the slide once it has been received.
I have been asked to publish the Emergency Powers for the Covid 19 proclamation period the Commissioner on Island are still working too, as they not yet been revoked. Covid 19 is obviously an unknown dangerous virus and COMin needed to protect all the residents of the island including vulnerable members of Local Authorities. (This is the shortened version that was sent by the LGU)
